Days before making his Season 4 debut, Lifeweaver, Overwatch 2’s 37th hero, already has his healing boosted. On April 3, Blizzard Entertainment announced that Lifeweaver would be the ninth support character in Overwatch 2. The first Thai-born character, the flower healer, was pals with Symmetra when they were little.
Several of Lifeweaver’s skills caused some gamers to express concern after his reveal. These included his poor healing skills and tugging allies in all directions. Before the release of the Season 4 patch, Overwatch 2 already changed Lifeweaver’s healing charge time in response to player complaints over his underwhelming heals after the playtesting period.
The healing charge time of Lifeweaver is buffed in Overwatch 2
Aaron Keller, the creator of Overwatch 2, confirmed on Twitter that Lifeweaver would get a boost on the opening day of Season 4. The hero’s primary healing charge time was reduced in Overwatch 2 from 1.2 to 1.0 seconds. Healing Blossom, the main healer of Lifeweaver, works similarly to Kiriko’s Ofuda but restores health in bursts rather than a stream.
Lifeweaver’s Thorn Volley ability allows him to shoot missiles at enemies in addition to healing them. This functions similarly to Zenyatta’s destructive power. Lifeweaver can also use a Petal Platform to launch players into the air and Rejuvenating Dash to run after them.
Some gamers have criticized Lifeweaver’s skills due to their excessive number. The lengthy list consists of his ultimate Tree of Life, the passive Parting Gift, Healing Blossom, Thorn Volley, Petal Platform, Rejuvenating Dash, and Life Grip. Twitch streamer Seagull observed, “I think they realized they put themselves in a situation with this character because they introduced one more ability than they had key binds for. So they gave Lifeweaver another weapon as a result of it.
