Eternal Flower Floette: A Potential Game-Changer for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet DLC

Players believe that a Gen 9 sprite of an unreleased Floette form that appeared in a recent update to Pokemon HOME confirms that Pokemon Scarlet & Violet’s DLC would center on the Kalos region of X & Y. Players have been awaiting new information about what the game expansion would involve since leakers like RidderlKhu “announced” that DLC for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet is in production.

Trainers are more than prepared for any official DLC news, thanks to in-game hints like the third Legendary, two extra Paradox Pokemon discovered in the red books and theory-crafting probable crossovers with the Kalos region. A recent update may have revealed the future of Pokemon Scarlet & Violet’s content to the companion app Pokemon HOME.

Update for Pokemon HOME leaked Scarlet and Violet from the Floette

The 2.1.0 update for Pokemon HOME was made available on February 1. While it did add new Gen 9 Pokemon sprites to the app, it did not make the game compatible with Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.

Pory leeks shared a sheet of fresh Gen 9 sprites on Twitter. Players were eager to point out that the sprite sheet featured Pokemon like Mega Evolutions and Ash Greninja that weren’t available in contemporary games. However, keen-eyed players discovered a sixth Floette form that isn’t found in any game, regardless of age.

Eternal Flower Floette is the name of this form, which was discovered in Pokemon X & Y’s files and a cutscene but was never made available to players. Players believe it will eventually be included in Pokemon HOME since it first came with the Gen 9 update for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.

In Pokemon X and Y, Eternal Flower Floette belongs to AZ, one of the supporting characters. It is considered lesser than Florges but more potent than any other Floettes. It cannot breed or evolve, and there are no legal means to acquire it.

In light of this, users speculate that Eternal Flower Floette is a Paradox Pokemon slated to appear in the reported DLC for Scarlet & Violet. One player brought out that, despite having a “Pokedex pose” in Gen 7, EF Floette wasn’t yet made available. If Eternal Flower Floette ultimately materializes, we will need to wait and check what Pokemon Scarlet & Violet’s DLC has in store.
