Bewildering Nerf: Warzone Players React to the M4A1 Adjustment in Season 4 Reloaded

Call of Duty Warzone players have been left bewildered due to the “weird” nerf applied to the M4A1 in Season 4 Reloaded since they did not fully anticipate it. The developers of Warzone 2 have, throughout the most recent few updates, placed a significant emphasis on reshaping the meta and bringing about considerable balancing adjustments to the arsenal available to players in the battle royale mode.

They began Season 4 by weakening the incredibly strong Cronen Squall, but despite this, the rifle has returned to its previous level of importance. The most recent update, Season 4 Reloaded, also benefited the Squall’s cause because it caused several other weapons to be nerfed. Additionally, a second set of weapon balancing modifications was released on July 24 by the developers. These improvements were primarily aimed at lowering the damage profile of the Akimbo Snakehsot handguns. Even while players were happy with the adjustment, many needed clarification about why the M4A1 was also examined.

Players of Warzone can’t believe that the M4 was nerfed in Season 4

In Warzone, the assault rifle, which has always been usable even if it hasn’t quite reached the level of being a meta weapon, slightly reduced its damage multipliers to the torso. This is hardly the most significant adjustment in the world, but it was enough to rile up a few of the players. What in the world does the M4 have to do with this? “Weird Nerf,” one of the fans questioned. Another person commented that they were “perplexed how the M4 Nerf is supposed to work.” Someone added, “NO ONE asked for an M4 Nerf,” as a remark. “Lachman may have been a bit excessive, and the M4 is weird, but everything else is awesome,” said a third person who chimed in.

A good number of players didn’t have a problem with anything else. However, they did continue to express confusion over the position of assault weapons in the metagame after the M4 was nerfed. “All they had to do was nerf the X13, Squall, and the Shotguns, but they need to put their grubby hands on ARs that aren’t even broken,” said one player. “Now they struggle against SMGs at range,” added another player. “They need to put their grubby hands on ARs that aren’t even broken.” The developers only provide a little justification for their nerfs once something is absolutely out of hand, and it is currently unknown whether or not the M4 will be scrutinized once more for potential adjustments in such a short amount of time.
