Asmongold appears to have hit a breaking point with the game and has quit, potentially permanently, after the Diablo 4 Season 1 update. It would be an understatement to say that Blizzard’s Diablo 4 Season 1 update has caused controversy. Malignant Hearts’ arrival is one of the few positives. However, Season 1’s troubles with the Battle Pass and Nightmare Dungeon’s technicalities are just two examples.
Asmongold has been a very outspoken advocate for Blizzard fixing Diablo 4. If problems are not resolved, “Diablo 4 will bleed players,” he warned. But it appears that he is now a victim of his predictions.
Asmongold stops playing Diablo 4 Season 1 because of it
The content maker constantly attempted to defeat a boss in Diablo 4 but kept being one-shotted in a small clip from the well-known Asmongold vids YouTube channel. During the initial try, Asmongold was far from the enemy and was unexpectedly killed, to which the streamer responded, “Ok.” He said, “What the f**k” while laughing because the second effort was nearly a carbon replica. However, Asmongold’s third try was his downfall as he suffered another one-hit KO. “Oh f**k, I don’t think I can handle it.” After another fatality, the streamer told his audience, “the mechanics are dogs**t, it’s c**p.”
He had this to say in reaction to someone calling him out for quitting, “So, you want me to sit here and play a game that just sucks? Why? Why would I act that way? Do you want me to play a frustrating, unfun game while I sit there and get angry? One of Asmongold’s viewers remarked: “Imagine any other developer failing to make a working resistance system on a released video game and gaslighting players by pushing fixes into later seasons as if that’s acceptable.” He concluded by saying, “, Yep,” and then said, “I’m not playing; I’m done.” It might not be lovely for Diablo 4 to lose one of its biggest stars, given that he is one of the largest broadcasters in the world.
