Former NAVI Captain Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhaylov Returns to Competitive CS:GO with 1win Roster

Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhaylov, a former captain for NAVI, has officially resumed esports gaming participation in a new team with other Russian players. Earlier this month, Igor “Forester” Bezotecheskiy’s arrival had already boosted the roster, and now 1win has completed it by signing Boombl4 and Aleksei “NickelBack” Trofimov. Both players will be playing for the same organization.

After being absent from the game for the past nine months, Boombl4 has made a statement that signals their comeback to activity. In May of 2022, he was taken from the active roster of NAVI since the Ukrainian organization cited “serious reputational hazards for the club” as the reason for the decision. After some time had passed, it was revealed that Boombl4 and his wife, Lika “LiQueen” Mikhailova, had been embroiled in a contentious divorce battle that was made public.

The recruitment of Boombl4 is a significant step forward for 1win, who already boast Denis ‘deko’ Zhukov, regarded as one of the most promising young players in Eastern Europe. During the three years that Boombl4 was a member of Natus Vincere, the Ukrainian team was victorious in a number of international competitions. These victories included the PGL Major Stockholm in 2021 as well as the $1 million Intel Grand Slam Season 3.

However, in spite of his previous achievements as an in-game leader, Boombl4 will not be in charge of decision-making for 1win. It has been verified that NickelBack will, in fact, be the one to lead the squad in its future endeavors. 1win have also confirmed the employment of a new coach in the form of Dmitry “hooch” Bogdanov. Bogdanov will be reuniting with his former Entropiq charges NickelBack and Forester in his new role.

The 1win CS: GO roster is as follows:

  • Denis ‘deko’ Zhukov
  • Aleksandr ‘TRAVIS’ Timkiv
  • Igor ‘Forester’ Bezotecheskiy
  • Kirill ‘Boombl4’ Mikhailov
  • Aleksei ‘NickelBack’ Trofimov
  • Dmitry ‘hooch’ Bogdanov (coach)

The return of Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhaylov to competitive Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) after a nine-month absence has stirred excitement within the gaming community. Joining 1win, a team already fortified with the likes of Igor “Forester” Bezotecheskiy and Denis ‘deko’ Zhukov, Boombl4’s presence adds a new layer of skill and experience to the squad. Despite not taking on the role of in-game leader, Boombl4’s ability to adapt to different situations and perform under pressure will undoubtedly serve the team well. With the newly appointed coach, Dmitry “hooch” Bogdanov, also joining the ranks, 1win appears to have a bright future ahead.
