Pokemon

Video games in the Pokemon series are created by Game Freak and released by Nintendo and The Pokemon Company. Satoshi Tajiri and Ken Sugimori developed the series. The initial game, Pocket Monsters Red and Green, were published in 1996 in Japan for the Game Boy; they were renamed Pokemon Red and Blue for other markets. The “core series” of role-playing video games (RPGs) have continued on each generation of Nintendo’s portables. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet for Nintendo Switch was released on November 18, 2022, and is the most current installment in the main series.
