The first generation of Pokémon games, Pokémon Red and Blue, was released in Japan in 1996! They were later released for the N64 console in North America in 1998 and the Game Boy Color in Europe and Australia in 1999.

Over time, these games have been ported to various platforms, including PC, Mac OS X, and iOS. The latest versions are FireRed and LeafGreen, released in 2001 for Game Boy Advance.

Let’s get to Pokémon Fire Red Cheats and Fire Red Extended Cheats!

Pokémon Fire Red and Pokémon Fire Red Extended Cheats

Pokémon Fire Red was developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo.

It was released in North America on November 21, 2000. It is the 2nd installment of the Pokémon series, which is itself a spinoff of the Pokémon Trading Card Game.

The game takes place in the fictional region of Kanto, where players can roam around a map and battle wild Pokémon. Players start out with only one Pokémon, but they can obtain more through various methods (e.g., trading or catching.)

Players can also evolve their Pokémon if they meet certain requirements (e.g., trading with another player who has an evolved form of the same species.)

The game has two versions: Red and Blue versions. Red Version was released first, followed by Blue Version 2 months later on December 12th 2000 in Japan.

Both versions were released in Europe on March 20th 2001; and in North America on May 16th 2001.

Both versions were re-released together as Nintendo 64: Platinum Version in 2003 for GameCube/Wii consoles; 2011 for Wii U; 2012 for 3DS; and 2013 for PC/Mac Digital Download.

It includes all of the original 151 Pokémon as well as a new area called Mt. Silver (where the Elite Four await). You’ll also have access to an expanded menu and an all-new battle mode called “Team Rocket Grunts.”

Warning Before Using Cheats

pokemon fire red cheats list

Overusing cheats can lead to various bugs and glitches in your game since too many cheats can lead to data corruption, or in some instances, your ROM may not be compatible with the entered cheat code. Check out our best Pokemon ROM Hacks guide.

This can lead to data loss, so follow our Best Practices for the smoothest experience.

Best Practices

Below are some pointers that can save you from losing precious time and data:

  • Save your game before enabling cheats.
  • Disable cheats after you are done using them.
  • Do not activate more than 4 cheats at once!
  • Use the US FireRed Version 1.0 ROM if possible.
  • Don’t save the game if you notice irregularities in your items or Pokémon!
  • Use trusted Emulators sconly if you don’t have a GameBoy Advance..
  • Try walking in and out of doors if a cheat does not immediately activate.

Activating Pokémon Fire Red/Fire Red Extended cheats

Below are the 2 methods you can use to activate cheats, whether directly on the Gameboy or on an emulator.

The Master Code for Pokémon FireRed is:

  • 3AF85ACA C4D18CEC

After this, you can proceed with entering whatever cheat you would like from our list below.

Activating Cheats on Emulators
