Sentinels Return to Apex Legends Competitive Scene with New Roster

Sentinels announced that they would return to the competitive scene of Apex Legends with the same team that had competed under The Guard. Sentinels will return to the esport for Split 2 with Spacestation Gaming’s roster, which includes Joseph ‘Frexs’ Sanchez, Angello ‘Xenial’ Cadenas, and Mark ‘Dropped’ Thees. The reason why Sentinels dropped their Apex Legends roster after ALGS Split 1 was due to poor performance.

After the three of them played in the ALGS Split 1 Final while under the guise of Spacestation, however, it appeared that the move was doomed to failure. Then only one day prior to the beginning of Split 2, Xenial inked a deal to play with Oxygen Esports.

Just one day after the official website of the ALGS Split 2 Pro League showed that The Guard’s team was playing under the banner of Sentinels, the North American organization confirmed the revelation.

Sentinels are making their way back to Apex Legends as a part of The Guard lineup.

Keon “Keon” Berghout, Beau “RamBeau” Sheidy, and Cole “Rkn” Prommel will make up the new lineup for the Sentinels. As it became widely known that members of The Guard had been let go from their jobs, RamBeau addressed his team’s situation during a live stream. He said the group was willing to discuss potential partnerships with other esports organizations.

The team’s third-place position during the regular season helped them earn a spot in the ALGS Split 1 Playoffs, and they went on to finish 17th in the tournament in London.

On March 11, in the second week of the ALGS Split 2 Pro League North America, the three players who formerly competed for The Guard will debut for Sentinels. The squad will be competing in Group A, which also includes TSM, FaZe Clan, and Complexity, among other notable teams.
