Overwatch 2 Season 3: Addressing Sojourn and Mercy Dominance

In Overwatch 2 Season 2, Sojourn and Mercy were the most effective team. Still, Community Manager Jodie Grace revealed that they would be subject to “changes” shortly that will reduce their efficiency.

Since the release of Overwatch 2, Sojourn has consistently been regarded as one of the most potent heroes in the game. As a result of her previous iteration’s ability to instantaneously kill any hero with 200 health with a headshot, she has always been a popular choice for talented players who want to carry their games with her.

Because of the changes made to her arsenal in Seasons 1 and 2, she requires Mercy’s assistance to reclaim her full potential power. On the other hand, the two have been causing a stir across all of the game’s different modes, and players are becoming tired of it.

Sojourn and Mercy Dominance Addressed by Blizzard

The community manager for Blizzard Entertainment, Jodie Grace, has responded to a tweet regarding the dominance of Sojourn Mercy by indicating that improvements will be coming in Season 3 of Overwatch 2. The response given by Grace is consistent with Blizzard’s recent pledge to improve the frequency with which it communicates updates to players before the conclusion of Season 3.

Players are uncertain which of the heroes may be subject to greater nerfs because so little is known about the potential modifications that could be made to the pair. Some community members have strongly defended Mercy because her worth as a support hero only greatly rises when her damage boost enables damage-dealing heroes to go over damage breakpoints, making such heroes significantly more lethal.

Since the game’s initial release, Sojourn has been one of, if not the most powerful heroes. However, the player base is okay with the idea that she may be demoted a few notches to provide other DPS heroes with a bit more room to demonstrate their abilities.

Since we do not have much information regarding the specific modifications that will be made to either of the characters, only time will tell if Blizzard can find a solution to the challenge posed by Sojourn and Mercy in Overwatch 2 Season 3.
