Niantic Provides Update on Compensation for Pokemon Go Players Affected by Mewtwo Shadow Raid Incident

Niantic has provided an update regarding how it intends to pay Pokemon Go players impacted by the Mewtwo Shadow Raid incident. Shadow Raids devoted to Mewtwo were held on the 27th and 28th of May as part of Pokemon Go. Unfortunately, several flaws prevented many gamers from getting the most out of the experience, which was not in any little way due to those bugs.

Even after completing the raid multiple times, some players did not receive the XL Rare Candy award promised. This was the most notable occurrence. Niantic has revealed how it will pay gamers negatively affected by the event, even though some time has elapsed since it came to a close.

In Pokemon Go, Niantic has addressed the problem with the Mewtwo Shadow Raid

Players who could not complete the Mewtwo Shadow Raid because of a problem will soon be eligible for a bonus, as stated in a statement from Niantic Support. It is expected that impacted users will receive 10, 20, or 30 Rare Candy XL by the end of this week. The amount received will be based on the number of Mewtwo Shadow Raids the user completed during the event. In a recent post, the development team mentioned, “Beginning in Hidden Gems, we have ensured that five-star Shadow Raids will have the same chances of rewarding Rare Candy XL as five-star raids.”

Fans are excited to hear this news, but some have also expressed bewilderment over the more minute details. Many players are curious about the amount of candy they will receive for completing one raid versus completing the entire event with ten attacks.

In a post on Reddit, one user pondered the following question: “I was only able to complete one s-Mewtwo raid. Will I get ten rare XLs? Since it didn’t appear that there was an option for zero XLs, I’m hoping for the best with this one. Hopefully, Pokemon Go players should understand how developer Niantic plans to address the Mewtwo Shadow Raid problem by the time the week is out.
