In response to a teammate’s overall score, Detroit Lions linebacker Alex Anzalone remarked on social media that Madden’s 24 ratings are determined by “national fan perception.” It’s that time of year again: EA Sports has released its annual Madden ratings, revealing their opinions on the best football players in the game and their worth to real-life NFL clubs.
On the other hand, it is reasonable to assert that several NFL players have taken issue with EA’s evaluation of not just their own but also their colleagues’ abilities on the gridirons. A linebacker for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League shared that information on social media.

The development team behind Madden 24 and ESPN have been gradually working together to provide player ratings for this year’s game. On July 18, EA revealed ratings for edge rushers, and several Lions supporters were unhappy with the overall figures given to Aidan Hutchinson, who had previously been selected in the first round.After wreaking havoc on opposing offensive lines during the 2022 campaign, the defensive end for the Lions ended with 9.5 quarterback sacks, which tied him for 20th place among all players in that category. Hutchinson, on the other hand, will begin the season with an OVR rating of 81.
On Twitter, Hutchinson’s teammate Alex Anzalone responded to the grade given to the former star for Michigan. According to Anzalone, “Madden ratings, for the most part, are based on the national fan perception of players.. not much else.”
Several players share Anzalone’s frustration with how the EA Madden crew assigns player ratings. Cameron Jordan, a defensive end with the Saints, was granted an 87 overall player rating (OVR) for Madden 24, and he commented on social media that the ratings for the game “made me chuckle.” Later this week, EA Sports will disclose further player ratings, and among those ratings will be a list of the greatest cornerbacks and quarterbacks.
