Ladder Season 3 in Diablo 2 Resurrected: What to Expect

Ladder in Diablo 2 Resurrected Here is all the information we currently have regarding our upcoming journey into the land of The Lord of Terror’s Season 3.

While Blizzard is working on what may be Diablo 3’s final season, Diablo Immortal for mobile devices, and the future Diablo 4, they are also continuing to support Diablo 2: Resurrected, which is still receiving daily logins from a legion of devoted demon slayers.

Ladder functions differently from Diablo 3’s or Immortal’s Battle Pass, but it is essentially Diablo 2’s equivalent of seasons. The upcoming 2.6 updates for the game are expected to include several quality-of-life improvements and brand-new Terror Zones. Here is everything Season 3 of The Ladder will bring to the game.

Diablo 2 update

When will Season 3 of Diablo 2 Resurrected: Ladder debut?

On February 16, 2023, Diablo 2 Resurrected: Ladder Season 3 will launch. This is 24 hours after update 2.6, which includes several modifications and enhancements, goes live. Any Ladder characters from Season 2 will be moved to non-ladder groups, effectively making them permanent characters.

When Season 3’s update comes out, any first-season Ladder items still in the shared stockpile will be eliminated. If there are any goods you wish to save, relocate them to your inventory, but be aware that certain items will still be erased. Until the conclusion of Season 3 of Ladder, Season 2 items will remain accessible.

Terror Zones & Rune words

Eight new rune words will be introduced in the upcoming Ladder season, focusing on the Lord of Terror expansion’s characters’ Assassin and Druid’s movement speed and resistance advantages.

The non-Ladder modes will be updated to include some rune words and Horadric Cube recipes from previous seasons, allowing regular characters to use them for the first time. Non-seasonal characters will now have access to Sundering Charms.

In Ladder Season 3, Terror Zones make a comeback, but they can now be played offline for the first time. Season 3 abolished the Kurast Sewers Terror Zone. However, other Terror Zones will be enlarged and added.
