Dead Space Remake: Release Date, Platforms, and Trailers

Old and new gamers will experience the original scary journey all over again with EA’s Dead Space reboot. Here is all we know, including the most recent trailer, release date rumors, and platform speculation.

The Dead Space series has long been praised as one of the best horror game offerings. In 2008, players boarded the USG Ishimura for the first time, taking on the role of troubled engineer Isaac Clarke as he explored the Necromorph-infested ship.

But EA has now made it official that a new version of the original game is on the way. We now have solid confirmation that the ground-up remake is coming after leaks about the beloved franchise’s return to the big screen started to appear.

Dead Space Remake’s Release Date

Friday, January 27, 2023 will see the release of the Dead Space remake. 14 years have passed since the first game debuted on the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Platforms for Dead Space Remakes

The Dead Space reboot will be available for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, according to EA. This indicates that the remake is being created entirely from scratch using only the most recent hardware. It is very doubtful that it will be released on consoles from a prior generation any time soon.

Potential Release of Dead Space 4?

Even though Dead Space is one of the most recognizable horror franchises in gaming history, it seems like EA is using the remake to test interest. Dead Space 2 sold more than two million copies in its first week alone, but overall sales fell short of what the firm had anticipated. Similar remarks can be made about Dead Space 3, which apparently made less money than its predecessor in its first month of release, selling slightly over 600,000 copies.

Since the last game was released in 2013, there has been an increasing amount of anticipation for a new installment; yet, according to past sales, there is no assurance that a Dead Space 4 will ever be released. Holding your breath for a fourth entry wouldn’t be prudent if the remake falls short of EA’s ambitions.

On the other hand, if the remake does incredibly well, a brand-new game may be in the works. The studio might decide to redo Dead Space 2 or change the course of the franchise.
