Assessing the Strengths of the Vel 46 (MP7) in Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play
Ranking of Modern Warfare 2 Aydan, a play analyst, outlined the Vaznev 9K’s need to keep an eye on its rear in the SMG rankings. A strong CoD meta rarely changes after it solidifies in the past. A few uncommon cases do exist. Kris ‘Spart’ Cervantez defied the rules of CoD Vanguard by using a Volk to assist LAG in winning CDL Major 2.
Community members abandoned the TAQ-56 in favor of the ISO Hemlock during the first week of Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play. In competitive Call of Duty, new fads come and go quickly. For example, Volk and Hemlock were outlawed soon after becoming famous. Currently, participants in MW2 only use a TAQ-56 or a Vaznev, but Aydan thinks the Vel 46 (MP7) can shake up the previously unbreakable meta.
Is the Vel 46 more potent than the Vaznev in MW2 Ranked Play?
During a Ranked Play matches against the best player in Ranked Play and two other top 10 players, Aydan put the Vel 46 to the test. He alternated between dropping a TAQ-56 and a Vel 46 for 32 wins. “The Vaznev has been the meta for a while, and I think other players want to see something else become the new meta, and a lot of people have been using the MP7 lately,” the author said.
The MP7 is unquestionably the most enjoyable SMG to use at the moment. If you still need more proof, consider how Anthony “Shotzzy” Cuevas-Castro, one of the greatest SMG players in the CDL, has destroyed Ranked Play lobbies using his own Vel 46 loadout.
The Vel 46, according to Aydan, is the most entertaining weapon, but it also has advantages over the Vaznev in some places. The MP7 outperforms the Vaznev in the barrel range, but I believe it falls short in the middle range where the Vaznev can beam farther.
Modern Warfare 2’s top Vel 46 (MP7) loadout
Here is Aydan’s loadout for Vel 46.
- Muzzle: Bruen Pendulum
- Underbarrel: FSS Sharkfin 90
- Magazine: 30 Round Mag
- Stock: Demo RXT Stock
- Rear Grip: Schlager Soldier Grip
Expect the Vel 46 to lose a lot of medium- to long-range battles, but when you need close-quarters weaponry, look at least this loadout.
