Shroud and Sacriel team up with Splash Damage to develop an open-world survival game

Shroud and Sacriel, two popular streamers on Twitch, have recently revealed that they will be working with Splash Splash Damage to develop a AAA open-world survival game. It has recently become standard practice for content makers to try their hands at designing and developing video games. Dr. Disrespect is responsible for establishing Midnight Studio and announcing DEADROP, a new “vertical extraction shooter.” The legendary developer ACHES from Call of Duty has joined Ubisoft to work on their upcoming first-person shooter, XDEFIANT.

Because streamers do their job by playing video games regularly, it stands to reason that they would want to design their own experiences. Also, Shroud began his career as a professional first-person shooter (FPS) player in CS:GO. After he retired from the competitive esports scene in 2017, he streamed virtually every FPS game available. Even earlier than that, in 2012, Sacriel launched his career as a streamer. Thus his experience goes back much further.

Shroud and Sacriel joined forces with Splash Damage to develop their very own open-world survival game. Both of them have extensive experience in the relevant industry.

Shroud and Sacriel have announced Project Astrid.

He announced Project Astrid on March 16th. Shroud asserted, “I want to develop the finest game ever.” That is not only my objective but also the objective of Splash Damage. Among many other projects, Splash Damage contributed to the development of Halo: Master Chief Collection, Gears of War 4 and 5, and Brink.

For a long time, Sacriel has entertained the idea of tackling a project of this nature. “For the past few years, it has been one of my goals to go on Twitch and watch other people play a game I have had a hand in developing.”

The first step in the process was when Sacriel sent a message to Shroud regarding the possibility of making a game. The two subsequently contacted Splash Damage for assistance in bringing their vision to life. “With the experience and knowledge that Sacriel and Shroud have inside the survival genre,” said Splash Damage Creative Director Lance Winter. “combined with the 20-plus years of expertise we have with making fantastic shooters,” he said. “the result is something altogether new.”

Winter remarked, ” We can produce something innovative in the survival game.” “I’m hoping this will be one of those one-in-a-million games.” When we have more information regarding the project, we will provide an update on the status.
