Rumored Transfer of Former KT Rolster Bot Laner Noah to Fill Fnatic’s LEC Roster for Summer Split

Oh ‘Noah’ Hyeon-tae, a former KT Rolster bot laner, is close to being transferred to Fnatic, according to Blix.gg, to fill the opening on their roster for the LEC Summer split. The Korean botlaner is rumored to have already reached a personal contract with Fnatic, who are also thought to have reached a deal with his team, Serbia’s Zero Tenacity, regarding a transfer fee. If the trade goes through, Noah will replace Martin ‘Rekkles’ Larsson, who revealed a role switch to support last week, as League of Legends Fnatic’s AD Carry for the LEC Summer split.

Many people, including his teammates, were surprised by the veteran Swedish player’s choice. On JordiLMK’s Twitch stream, top laner scar ‘Oscarinin’ Muoz said he learned about the role switch from Rekkles’ announcement, in which the 26-year-old Swede mentioned the need to “reinvent me” after two unsuccessful splits. Rekkles’ plans were made public shortly after Fnatic stated they were looking for a new AD Carry for the Summer split. Rekkles was associated with KOI earlier this month since the Spanish group is allegedly moving on from Adrian “Trymbi” Trybus.

Who is Noah, the rumored new bot lane for Fnatic?

The 21-year-old AD Carry played for the Korean league in the academy, Challengers, and LCK levels during his time on KT Rolster’s roster.

He departed KT Rolster at the end of 2022 and signed with Zero Tenacity, a Serbian team competing in Ultraliga, after being assigned to the Challengers squad for two straight splits. He joined forces with fellow Koreans Jeong ‘Kabbie’ Sang-Hyeon, a support, and Seo ‘SlowQ’ Ye-bit, a mid layer. Noah received five MVP mentions during the group stage and contributed to Zero Tenacity’s victory in Ultraliga Season 9. The team won just one of their six group matches, finishing 13th–16th at the EMEA Masters in Spring 2023.

According to Blix’s source, “many teams” have made inquiries regarding Noah, including LCS teams who had designated the Korean as their “first choice.” After dismal performances in the Winter and Spring splits, Fnatic will be hoping to turn their season around in the Summer. Only 30 Championship Points have been acquired by the team, which determines which three sections will join the three split champions at the LEC Finals in September.
