RamBeau Apologizes for Retiring and Quickly Returning to Competitive Apex Legends

Beau ‘RamBeau’ Sheidy, an Apex Legends professional player, has responded to criticism he received after announcing his retirement and then quickly returning to competition with DarkZero Esports shortly after he forced Sentinels to scramble to find a replacement player.

On March 28, RamBeau announced that he would be resigning from both Apex Legends and the Sentinels roster. He cited a lack of enthusiasm for the game’s competitive side as one of the reasons for his decision to move away from the competition. However, that retirement turned out to be only a little successful.

RamBeau joined the DarkZero Esports team just a few weeks after he announced his retirement, resulting in many roster changes. The competitive Apex community voiced their disapproval of the quick comeback, with ImperialHal labeling it as “bulls*it” and Snip3down stating that it didn’t make any sense.  Now that some of the anger has been addressed, RamBeau has apologized to his old teammates and explained his side, giving his account of what happened.

RamBeau has issued an apology to the players of Apex Legends in the midst of the uproar surrounding his retirement and return.

On April 17, RamBeau participated in the Apex After Hours podcast hosted by Jon ‘Falloutt’ Kefaloukos. He stated, “It’s been tough to see what some people have to say. Some people are going to have opinions on you, I guess,” He added that “some people are going to have opinions on you.”

When asked about his decision to retire in the first place, he stated that at the time, it was “really tough” for him to concentrate on anything other than what he was “going through a lot” with the health concerns of his family.  “I saw some comments like ‘he’s probably bullsh*tting about all the family problems he’s going through,’ but I promise you, I’m not.” “I saw comments like ‘he’s probably bullsh*tting about all the family problems he’s going through.’ “

RamBeau said he was sorry for how things turned out but claimed that he did not make the transition to join a more competitive team. “I apologize for the way in which I dealt with the circumstance. He expressed regret to his previous team members by saying, “If I could go back in time and do it over again, I absolutely would, and I would change how I handled it, but I can’t,” he couldn’t. “I’m a human, and like everyone else, I make mistakes. I hope that we can all move on.”

There have already been a good number of people who have come around to RamBeau’s explanation of the situation and apologies for what happened. Still, how the larger Apex community will react to the developments remains to be seen.
