FaZe Jev praises XDefiant’s map design, considers it a CoD competitor

FaZe Jev is prepared to label XDefiant a CoD competitor after raving about the game’s stunning map design. During the closed beta, XDefiant created an excellent first impression. The newest first-person shooter from Ubisoft outperformed Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 in terms of Twitch views. The CoD community praised the free-to-play arena shooter for competing head-to-head with the industry titan.

Fans of Call of Duty, in particular, praised the game’s good UI, quick, fluid movement, and lack of skill-based matchmaking. FPS veterans compared the gameplay of XDefiant to that of Black Ops 2 and 4, two fan favorites. Since MW3, FaZe Jev has returned yearly to create CoD material with reluctance and eagerness. Taking into account everything he knows about the series, Jev views XDefiant as a worthy foe.

FaZe Jev commends the design of the XDefiant map

In his most recent YouTube video, FaZe Jev showed gratitude to the XDefiant map design team. The game will launch with 14 maps. In his opinion, they are far superior to any current Call of Duty map offers.

“Who is the game’s primary map designer? Who built them because they ought to be praised to the skies.” The weakest map in this game is still superior to the top Call of Duty map from the previous five or more years.

Flow is a critical element of FPS games. Jev believes XDefiant has nailed the phrase related to a video game’s Immersion and capacity to produce a pleasurable experience. This game has an excellent flow. The flow of Call of Duty has been completely broken for years, according to Jev. “Much of it has to do with how the spawns work, and part of it has to do with the maps.” In contrast to XDefiant, which Jev claimed has a predictable pattern that enables players to learn and improve at the game, Jev criticized CoD as being random and static.

Regardless of where their squad or foes are on the map, players that use squad spawns always spawn close to their teammates. As Jev mentioned, this results in gamers spawning right adjacent to enemies. Modern Warfare 2 initially generated players in teams but eventually moved to a point-based approach that places players in predetermined spots all over the battlefield.

Even though CoD does make a lovely classic three-lane map, the YouTuber claimed squad spawns “completely cook it all.” Players still have a few more days to sign up and check out the XDefiant closed beta, which concludes on April 23.
