Warzone 2 Servers Criticized Ahead of World Series of Warzone
The developers of Warzone 2 have come under fire from OpTic TeeP for their failure to improve server performance in time for the World Series of Warzone. Since the release of Season 3, members of the Warzone 2 community have observed an increase in server difficulties. Players reported concerns regarding issues with gunshot registration, delayed actions, and substantial frame dips.
Activision made the following statement on their official blog on April 20: “We are investigating reports of server-related gameplay issues and are actively working to resolve them.” The game’s developers uploaded the problem to the game’s Trello board, which enables users to monitor the progress of the ongoing inquiry. The time limit for finding a solution is rapidly approaching as the World Series of Warzone draws closer.
OpTic TeeP is anticipating the worst possible outcome for the Warzone 2 WSOW servers
Since its inception in 2021, the World Series of Warzone has been running as a recurring event on an annual basis. Teams from across the world compete in qualifier matches, culminating in a showdown. The competition will have two levels, with a total prize pool of $1.2 million, and it will take place in 2023.
On April 28, we will get started with Stage 1 Qualifiers. OpTic TeeP faced serious server troubles just two days before the start of WSOW matches, and they asked: “How are they going to run a 1.2 million dollar tournament?” Does anyone have any idea?” In the caption of his tweet, TeeP aimed at the game’s developers by writing, “We are investigating reports of server-related gameplay issues and are actively working to resolve them.” This is the same explanation Activision made in its statement regarding the server issues.
All of the WSOW Qualifier matches are played online, so if the servers are unstable, it may be disastrous for players trying to earn a large portion of the $1.2 million prize pool. Only the Global Final will be held as a local area network competition. The former Call of Duty professional player is not the only member of the community who has criticized the poor functioning of the servers. Also, to put it more plainly, FaZe Swagg stated, “Warzone 2 servers are unplayable,” and JGOD referred to the net code for Warzone 2 as “pretty bad.”
Sadly, the creators did not disclose a timeline for the inquiry or any insight regarding particular Warzone 2 changes that would be implemented.
