JGOD Praises the Chimera as a Strong Contender in Warzone 2 Season 3’s Short-Range Meta

JGOD thinks that the Chimera shines through in Warzone 2 Season 3, despite other close-range weapons receiving greater attention. The weapon balancing update for Season 3 in Warzone 2 completely reworked the game’s long-range meta, but it did not have the same effect on the game’s close-range weaponry. WZRanked reports that the Vaznev-9K and the Lachmann Sub are chosen at a rate that is significantly greater than that of any other submachine gun or assault rifle that is capable of competing in close-quarters battles.

Nevertheless, JGOD brought attention to the Chimera as a short-range meta weapon that community members ought to focus more of their attention on. JGOD explains why the Chimera is a potential contender in the short-range metagame. In the third season of Warzone, JGOD argued that the Chimera should be considered a must-try weapon. The Chimera has an impressively fast ADS speed of 244 milliseconds and a practical TTk of 525 milliseconds. He made the following statement: “Based on the stats of this weapon, it is very competitive, and I think almost slept on in that regard.”

JGOD further stated that “The Chimera kills as fast as or faster than pretty much everything in the game at close range, and on top of that, it has more range” in comparison to other close-range meta weapon options that are more popular.

“This build is specifically built for close range, which emphasizes ADS, sprint to fire, and strafe speed, all of which end up hurting your recoil,” he explained. “Since this build was designed specifically for close range, it also emphasizes strafe speed.”

The YouTuber conceded that striking the ideal equilibrium between recoil control and mobility was difficult. Still, he maintained that this class would have no trouble eliminating foes located within ten to twenty meters of them. This underappreciated AR is a fantastic option that ticks all boxes and provides a welcome diversion from the typical Vazenv 9-K or Lachmann Sub.
