Warzone 2: Season 4 Reloaded Brings Back the Iconic Gulag Map – Showers Returns!

Everyone had positive things to say about the Gulag map from the first Warzone, and now it will be available in Warzone 2 Season 4 Reloaded. Warzone 2 took a risky approach to the game’s design when it replaced the 1v1 Gulag battles with a 2v2 format. The community members disapproved of the innovation because it was difficult to obtain a second chance at life by entrusting one’s life to a group of unrelated colleagues.

After hearing the criticisms, Infinity Ward reinstated one-on-one Gulag matches in Season 2. On the other hand, the developers needed a map prepared for the alteration. Ultimately, a brand-new facility for Al Mazrah that prioritized less serious offenses was built from the ground up. A change in strategy has made it possible to restore the original Gulag map that was used in Season 4 Reloaded, and this restoration work is currently underway.

The creators of Warzone 2 gave players a sneak peek at the content included in the upcoming mid-season update, which will be released on July 10. A crossover with The Boys, a typical battle royale playlist on Vondel, and a Resurgence map rotation are critical takeaways for battle royale fans. Here is an example of what will be available to viewers in the reloaded fourth season.

In addition, Showers from Warzone inspired the design of a Gulag that was added to Vondel in Season 4 Reloaded. This Gulag is dedicated to Vondel.

The development team wrote in the official blog post: “This might feel familiar, and it should. Also, one of the showers in a prison complex served as inspiration for Vondel’s Gulag’s designers. Activision stated that the new setting, a traditional three-lane battlefield, was designed with one-on-one battles in mind when it was established. It is unknown how close Showers and this new Warzone 2 Gulag will feel to each other when they are engaged in combat. However, fans will appreciate the pleasant flashback that was included. The debut of Season 4 Reloaded will take place on July 12.
