Warzone 2 Players Unanimously Vote for G36C’s Return: Fans Rally for Classic Assault Rifle in Call of Duty

Players of Warzone 2 were asked which Call of Duty weapon they’d like to see return, and the G36C assault rifle came out on top among the many responses. Call of Duty has had a fair share of recognizable weapons throughout its lengthy existence. On the post asking what gun fans wanted back, the most popular comment was “G36C,” while another user said they’d “love to see the G36 family” return.

The G36 was mentioned on several lists where supporters listed everything they wished would happen. In one extensive inventory, they recorded the following weapons: “HK G36, HK416, M27 IAR, HK417, M249, M240B, M60, PP2000, FN FAL, FN Five-seven, L85, Howa Type 64, Type 89,” subsequently stating that the G36 would be their top option.

The Holger-26 was the G36 platform’s final incarnation in Modern Warfare (2019). That was based on the G36 converted to an LMG, and the assault weapon hasn’t appeared in CoD multiplayer since the 2011 release of Modern Warfare 3. The G36 seemed frequently, but it wasn’t the only weapon to do so. The FAL, FAMAS, Kar98k, Grau, Dragunov, Odin, and Uzi were also much anticipated by fans for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.
