Warzone 2 Expert’s Lachmann 556 Loadout That ‘Feels’ Like Grau”
Veteran of Warzone 2 “Metaphor” has unveiled a new build for the Lachmann 556 that, in his opinion, has a striking resemblance to the iconic Grau assault weapon featured in Warzone 1.
When Warzone 2 was published, many of the armaments from Warzone 1 did not make the transition over. One of these was the Grau rifle, which, as soon as it was included. Established itself as the dominant weapon in the WZ1 metagame.
The intricate class customization that Warzone 2 offers. On the other hand, has made it possible for fans and content developers to recreate antique and traditional weaponry.
Even while these “replicas” aren’t quite as powerful as the “meta loadouts” that help you win matches. It’s entertaining to experiment with them and speculate on how Warzone 2’s balance might change. A skilled Warzone 2 content producer named Metaphor used the Lachmann 556 as a model to reproduce the Grau from Warzone 1 in Warzone 2. His video from January 10 explains how he got this build.

He admitted that he had made a few attempts to use the rifle in the past. But they had not been very successful. For this game, we moved here with our firearms on the left side. The creator of the content continued to clarify the comparison to the Grau in one of the comments under the video, adding: “I’m merely saying that cuz it has no recoil.”
The complete modification looks like this:
- Muzzle: Komodo Heavy
- Barrel: 15.9″ Lachmann Rapp Barrel
- Ammunition: 5.56 High Velocity
- Magazine: 40 Round Mag
- Optic: Cronen Mini Pro
A fascinating point is made on the use of the barrel, which is something that Metaphor normally avoids doing. But does in this circumstance because the gun requires further damage to compete.
The community of Warzone who are interested in putting this design to the test should, if at all possible, combine their Lachmann 556 primary weapon with a submachine gun like the Fennec or the X13 akimbo pistol.
At first glance, this may appear strange given that the Lachmann 556 has difficulty engaging in combat at medium and long ranges. On the other hand, the conventional wisdom holds that it should only be used in close-quarters combat. This places a greater premium on ADS time, and a submachine gun is a more effective weapon for clearing out rooms at medium to close ranges.
