Warzone 2 Community Gets Their Wish: KV Broadside Nerf Announced for Season 2 Reloaded
The users of the Warzone 2 community were granted their request when the creators of the game announced that the KV Broadside would be receiving a nerf as part of the Season 2 Reloaded update.
As part of the Season 2 update, Infinity Ward introduced two new weapons, and both of them quickly became standard-issue meta weapons. The Iso Hemlock has a pick rate of 19.5%, making it the most popular gun in Warzone 2, according to WZRanked. The KV Broadside has a pick rate of 12.7%, making it the second most popular gun.
Players of Warzone 2 discovered that the KV Broadside equipped with the Dragon’s Breath attachment could kill foes with just two shots. As members of the community learned about the shotgun’s “broken” power, they demanded that it be nerfed. Because of the tremendous amount of player feedback, the game’s developers have decided to implement a long-awaited balance change to the KV Broadside, which will take place in Season 2 Reloaded.
There will be a nerf to KV Broadside in Season 2 Reloaded
Infinity Ward announced on March 10. The damage done by the KV Broadside and Dragon’s Breath rounds will be lowered as part of the global weapon balancing changes implemented in Season 2 Reloaded. Also, the creators stated that additional information would be presented in the complete patch notes, and the beginning of Season 2 Reloaded is scheduled for March 15.
Members of the community have critiqued the slowness with which the developers have responded. YouTuber Westie, who plays Warzone 2, replied, “May I question why it’s taken so long to address plain and obvious balancing issues?”
He continued, saying, “fundamentally broken weapons destroy the experience for everyone who plays the game.” It seems like having a quick response time to problems like these would be advantageous. FaZe Kalei, a streamer for WZ2, asked, “Why does it take you so long to nerf a shotgun while the sniper gets patched within a day?” funny.”
A third gamer voiced their disagreement, stating, “This is wonderful, but IW should aim to push weapon balances faster instead of relying on seasonal updates.” When the comprehensive notes on weapon balancing have been made available, we will offer an update.
