A gaming industry insider has divulged his speculation regarding the official release date of Grand Theft Auto 6 and the possibility of an announcement trailer.
Despite a catastrophic leak that revealed development footage of GTA 6, including gameplay and confirmation that the franchise will return to Vice City, Rockstar Games has been rather silent on Grand Theft Auto for the past few months.
There have been a few reports since the company announced the game, including specifics regarding the announcement trailer that fans have been waiting for for a very long time. Fans are growing increasingly eager for the company to introduce the game properly.
Tom Henderson, a famous industry insider, has since weighed in on Grand Theft Auto 6 and hypothesized when it will be unveiled, but that there will invariably be a delay in its release. These new speculations have not yet been confirmed to be true.
A Rockstar Employee Believes That The Release of GTA 6 Will Be Postponed
Tom Henderson mentioned in a conversation on Twitter that even though he is unsure of when Grand Theft Auto 6 will be shown to the public, there are indications that a reveal trailer will be released this year.
According to Henderson, based on previous revelations, Rockstar might be getting ready to launch the game with a trailer in late October or early November, shortly before Take-2024 Two’s earnings call, if they follow the pattern that has been established in the past.
In addition, the insider forecast that Rockstar will announce a release date for the game in 2024 but cautioned that a delay is “inevitable,” and the game will be delayed until 2025.
“The current-generation console market will be sufficient enough by the year 2024 to make Grand Theft Auto 6 the hit it needs to be,” he commented. “However, I think they won’t mind giving the market another year and guaranteeing that the same is the best it can be.”
It is still unknown whether or not Grand Theft Auto 6 will be released before the year 2025; however, given that Rockstar has already delayed the release of both GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, the pattern of previous delays seems to suggest that it will continue.
We will have to wait and verify what Rockstar has in store for us and whether or not a Grand Theft Auto VI unveiling will ultimately take place later this year as planned.
