Overwatch 2’s Prop Hunt Mode: Players Unleash Ingenious Tactics as Props Fight Back Against Hunters

Players of Overwatch 2 are coming up with ingenious tactics to use as props to take down hunters in the game’s newly added prop hunt mode. Questwatch and the fantasy-themed season of Overwatch 2 are coming to an end as the game’s fifth season comes to a close. Season 5 of Overwatch 2 is coming to a close. In terms of introducing new material, this season has been one of the less eventful ones, yet, it will conclude with an intriguing turn of events.

Blizzard recently included a new mode to the game called Prop Hunt. In this mode, magic Kirikos will transform into various inanimate things across the area. After that, they begin to run about the map while attempting to fit in with the environment. Then it is Genji’s responsibility to locate and get rid of any props that have been misplaced. On the other hand, Blizzard has yet to render the props helpless. When a Genji rumbles them, they can use a Cassidy flash or a Moira fade to escape the Genji as quickly as possible. Importantly, they also have a melee weapon that they can use to deal a minimal amount of damage to their opponents. Nevertheless, that minuscule damage might significantly increase when all of the props are combined to take down an adversary. Therefore, the braces have begun their counterattack.

Props are cooperating to track down the hunters

Players post videos of themselves abusing unwary Genjis who are unaware of the age-old saying that states, “Props together, strong.” These videos are being shared in multiple threads on Reddit. In a video uploaded to YouTube by Reticulum217, we see a group of props swarming around two Genji who are about to reveal their identity to stop them from doing so. After they have them stunned, they join forces and punch each victim to death.

Another clip from Greeno_x demonstrates some alarming content. It reveals some sneaky props that have been waiting outside of the spawn area for the hunters. They wait for the doors to open, then continuously stun all five before mowing them down with their onslaught of melee attacks.

This has added a rather fascinating dynamic to the game mode, creating new paths apart from players simply seeking each other. Nevertheless, watching a group of barrels swarm over a poor Genji until he is no longer alive is unsettling.
