Magikarp defeats Samurott with one move in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Tera Raid

One player in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet managed to defeat Samurott using only one move thanks to an excellent stratagem involving Magikarp. The Generation IX games added Samurott to the 7-star Tera Raids on March 27, 2019, making it the next accessible Pokemon to be obtained there. Oshawott is one of the Pokémon that can be used as a starter in Black and White. Samurott is the ultimate evolution of the water-type Pokemon Oshawott.

Samurott now has a Bug Tera Type thanks to Scarlet and Violet, which is a departure from its regular Water typing. Since its release, a significant number of players have devised strategies for completing the Tera Raid before its expiration date. On the other hand, a single trainer was optional to put in much effort for a Magikarp to prevail over a Samurott.

One attack was all this Pokemon trainer needed to take down Samurott

A user by the name of Nommable123 uploaded a video of their Shiny Magikarp to the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet subreddit and shared it with the community. In the comment section, people outlined their chosen strategy to defeat Samurott.

The footage shows that Corviknight first used Swagger on Magikarp, and then Perrserker used False Swipe to attack the fish Pokemon. Magikarp used its Flail attack, which caused Samurott to collapse despite only having one health point and being confused. The strength of Flail is proportional to the amount of health remaining on the Pokemon it is attacking.

Nommable123 provided additional information that should have been included in the video regarding the strategy. The first thing the trainer did was write down, “Corviknight uses Swagger on Magikarp three times in order to maximize Attack.” After that, the Perrseker will use Screech three times on Samurott in order to lower its Defense.

In the past, the same individual successfully took down Decidueye while participating in its 7-star Tera Raid. In contrast to the fight against Samurott, the trainers chose to use Shiny Magikarp, Medicham, and two Perrserkers as their Pokémon. Despite this, the Magikarp’s Flail attack managed to defeat the Arrow Quill Pokemon. Some players want to construct other Pokemon for the Samurott Tera Raid, despite the one-hit strategy being available.
