Former CDL Pro Banned for Cheating in Call of Duty Challengers Champs

Bryan ‘Jimbo’ Sabman, a former CDL pro who is now a participant in the Challengers, was supposedly banned in the middle of a Challengers Champs match for cheating. Recently, in Las Vegas, Nevada, the beginning of the Call of Duty League Champs 2023 took place. Call of Duty Challengers is holding their season-ending LAN competition at the same time as the top eight CDL teams compete against one another for the chance to win the lion’s share of the $2,380,000 prize pool. During this time, Call of Duty Challengers is also staging its final event of the season.

In the Challengers Elite Playoffs, there were 12 teams, and eight of those teams earned the privilege to compete in the Championship weekend. The prize for the winner is sixty thousand dollars, and they also have the opportunity to have their name put on the map. Jimbo, an Orbit player, was allegedly caught cheating during a Challengers Champs match, which brought this opportunity dangerously close to being taken away.

It has been reported that Jimbo was kicked out of the LAN match for cheating

According to a post from The Rotation, a news source for Call of Duty Challengers, “Jimbo’s account has been banned for hacking mid-match.” In addition, The Rotation published a picture of Jimbo’s computer monitor, which appears to display a warning notice in the lower left-hand corner of his display.

The match between Orbit and OMiT will be redone rather than being called off. The league permitted Jimbo to restart the Hardpoint match using one of his other BattleNet identities, and he did so successfully. OMiT won the game with a score of 114-0. However, the map was restarted from the very beginning. Rafi, the founder of OMiT, was asked for his reaction to the news that the match would be restarted from 0-0, and he stated, “That’s absurd.”

Orbit was unsuccessful in their attempt to win the replay, and OMiT advanced to the subsequent round. Following the events, The Rotation revealed that Orbit had been disqualified from the Challengers Champs competition. If they had lost, Jimbo, GRVTY, Gio, and Classic would have advanced to the loser’s bracket; however, they were eliminated early. The CDL and Challengers Champs season will close on June 18.
