Pokemon Scarlet & Violet fans have started making their way into the Paldea region, which features many new Pokemon species. They introduced three new starters: Fuecoco, Sprigatito, and Quaxly. When getting ready to start a new part of a series, the starters can spark a significant amount of debate, and the Generation 9 set hasn’t been able to avoid the scrutiny of critics. On the other hand, Fans have expressed a positive reaction, particularly concerning Fuecoco.
Fuecoco is a tiny, reptile Pokémon that has the appearance of a hybrid between a teddy bear and a small crocodile. It is a member of the Fire type. Skeledirge broke the recent trend of fire starters being bipedal and humanoid, marking a welcome change despite a somewhat awkward transitional phase in its evolution.

Skeledirge can stand out due to this obvious distinction, and many fans believe this puts it in a better position than many other possibilities.

A fan of Scarlet and Violet named PkmnBrainrot has shared an image on Twitter that depicts every Fire-type starter Pokémon from every generation. The image includes a commentary discussing the various designs and how they become more human as the series progresses.
The running joke about Firestarters is that no matter their first or second evolutions, they always have to stand on two legs. This has been the case for a very long time. Fans are embracing the backward process carried out using Fuecoco, Crocalor, and Skeledirge from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
The player comments, “Evolution at its best,” and another player responds with, “Skeledirge be like: I am P A M C A K E.” Another fan of Skeledirge gushes, “He is the best Firestarter to me; adore his typing,” while a third fan is overjoyed to announce, “WE’RE FREE FROM THE CURSE.”
In a humorous twist, Skeledirge is the only Pokémon that gets to move around on all fours. At the same time, Meowscarda and Quaquaval are the only Pokémon that can run on two legs and have remarkably human forms. It would appear that there is a requirement for humanoid starter Pokemon to be located somewhere.
