Failed Nerfs in Modern Warfare 2 Season 3 Reloaded: TAQ-56 and Vaznev-9K Remain Dominant

In Modern Warfare 2, the Season 3 Reloaded Nerfs failed to dethrone the TAQ-56 and Vaznev-9K; therefore, CDL gamers and Ranked Play participants need not fear. In competitive Modern Warfare 2, the M4 and ISO Hemlock temporarily became must-use guns, but the designers swiftly outlawed both ARs. The Lachmann Sub and MP7 presented a good case for the SMG class, but they needed to be more powerful to defeat the Vaznev-9K.

The TAQ-56’s headshot damage was reduced in Season 3. However, the change was barely audible. The Nerf, according to XclusiveAce, was “meaningless,” and both weapons maintained their dominance. TheXclusiveAce argues that despite Infinity Ward nerfing both weapons again in Season 3 Reloaded, it wasn’t enough to end the two animals’ existence for good.

How significant were the nerfs to the Vaznev-9K and TAQ-56 Season 3 Reloaded?

The Vaznev-9K and TAQ-56’s maximum damage range was reduced due to the Season 3 Reloaded weapon balancing update. It was only possible to determine the exact magnitude of the nerfs with precise values in the patch notes. Thank goodness TheXclusiveAce took care of the grunt work and tested both weapons after the update. According to his device testing, the Vaznev-9K’s maximum damage range decreased from 10.2 meters to 8.7 meters. He explained that this has a little lower three-shot kill potential than the Lachmann Sub.

Although he acknowledged that they are equivalent, the Lachmann Sub now has a more forgiving three-shot kill potential if you mix in limb shots instead of the Vaznev. The Lachmann Sub in Modern Warfare 2 is, therefore, according to TheXclusiveAce, somewhat superior to the Vaznev on paper, but he still predicts that the Vaznev will triumph when wholly modified.

The YouTuber mentioned the MP7 as yet another contender for the greatest SMG. According to XclusiveAce, the maximum damage range of the TAQ 56 dropped from 28.2 meters to 24.8 meters. Although the YouTuber claimed it would hurt the dominating AR’s ability to kill with three shots, he still believes it will be the best AR in competitive Call of Duty
