Breaking Boundaries: Creative Tactics to Bypass Mechanics in Final Fantasy XIV’s Harrowing Hells Raid

Players of Final Fantasy XIV have found a brand-new way to fully get around a mechanic in one of the game’s most challenging recent raids. The raiding in Final Fantasy XIV demands a lot of the player. You must also cooperate with seven other players to overcome a demanding boss. But to do that, you must navigate tricky mechanics, finish your rotation, and pass DPS tests. Because of this, many players can spend some time before starting the actual game simply studying specific mechanics and how to finish them.

This is the case with the most challenging content available to high-end raiders, the savage and ultimate difficulty fights. The majority of the time, when players struggle with this difficulty level’s mechanics, the entire team wipes and must restart the battle. These guidelines also apply to the most current savage tier, Pandaemonium: Anabaseios, with P10S (Pandaemonium 10: Savage) being one of the stricter encounters in the story.

P10S features several stacking, spreading, and web-breaking techniques and has players take on Pandaemonium themselves. Harrowing Hells, one of the more challenging P10S mechanics, demands players to construct a web using the spreads in advance at the back of the arena, creating a barrier to be knocked back into. Failure to do so will cause a team wipes by knocking all party members off the map. That is, until a group devised a clever approach to get around the mechanic.

Hayclonic from YouTube demonstrated a method involving the healer skill Rescue. Any ally would be drawn to the healer by this power, which would also halt the player from being removed. The two healers used rescue on one another after being knocked back after Hayclonic’s party failed to build the barrier at the back of the arena, bringing them away from the edge.

The healers can then use Limit Break 3 to bring back all party members from the dead without imposing a death penalty, while the remainder of the party is ultimately knocked off the map by the attack. The drawback of this tactic is that it prevents you from having a tank LB for Harrowing Hell or a DPS LB to pass the fight’s DPS check. Therefore, while it’s a great technique to avoid the mechanic, there might be better choices than this one.
