100 Thieves Valorant on Edge in Intense VCT Americas Playoff Race

Brenden’stellar’ McGrath, IGL with 100 Thieves Valorant, said that his squad is a little on edge due to the competitive nature of the VCT Americas playoff race. One of the competitive teams competing for a berth in the VCT Americas playoff round is 100 Thieves. After defeating FURIA, the team improved to 4-4 overall and is currently tied with three other groups going into the last week of the regular season. Despite recent back-to-back losses to NRG and LOUD, stellar noted after the game against FURIA that his team has been in good spirits and that everyone knows the struggle ahead.

Stellar explained the team’s mindset, saying, “It’s not all bad.” “I believe that everyone is tense. Given the current season’s circumstances and fan expectations, significantly greater pressure is involved. But week to week, it undeniably adds a little amount of stress. Fans of 100 Thieves anticipated the team would compete for the VCT Americas championship.

The squad competed at the Valorant Champions tournament the previous year and finished in the top eight at VCT LOCK//IN, where they lost to eventual champions Fnatic after defeating Edward Gaming and FUT Esports.

A playoff position in the VCT Americas is not specific for 100T

According to Fantastic, the team needs to be cramming in additional practice to prepare for their upcoming encounter against MIBR. They are attempting to make the most of their time without obsessing over the “added pressure” of these late split games. Everything’s just repetition in scrims, and by the time the game comes around, everyone should be doing what we discussed while making sure to rehash everything. If we need to be reminded of that throughout the video game, then by all means, he said.

The members of 100 Thieves have previously discussed how they still have some minor issues to fix before they can compete against the top teams in VCT Americas. While every team in the league has the ability to profit from blunders, NRG and LOUD are particularly good at retaliating for even the most minor slip-ups.

Stellar believes his squad can eliminate those errors if they practice hyper-consistency and continually switch up their play. However, achieving that objective might need to wait until after the split. We aim to be consistent, of course. We aspire to be a squad that is difficult to predict or prepare for, but, you know, we’re a long way off. Right now, all we can focus on is making it through to the playoffs, stated fantastic.

On May 20, 100 Thieves will take the field against MIBR in the final game of the VCT Americas split. The game might decide the fate of several teams and have significant tiebreaker implications for the league.
