ScreaM discusses Karmine Corp’s improvement after Newzera’s departure from VCT EMEA lineup

Adil ‘ScreaM’ Benrlitom, the captain of Karmine Corp, spoke online about the team’s turnaround in play after Alexis ‘Newzera’ Humbert left the squad after the team’s second victory in the VCT EMEA competition. Karmine Corp ended a Valorant four-game losing streak by defeating KOI in their second game of the VCT EMEA split. The French-speaking team had to contend with Newzera leaving the lineup in the middle of that run of games and Ahmed ‘ZE1SH’ Sheikh joining the team to take his place.

Following the losing streak and Newzera “abandoning” the team, ScreaM used Twitter to explain how the team had improved after winning the series 2-1. “A few easy points account for the team’s recent improvement. The work with mental trainers, the dynamics, and everyone’s mood are all better overall thanks to ZE1SH, who, in my opinion, offers the intensity and aggressiveness that we lacked before,” remarked ScreaM.

To play in a systematic and “synergistic” style and outperform other teams strategically, the former Team Liquid player revealed that when he assembled the team. Also, he claimed that he now realizes how difficult it is to develop a system like that and that it may have prevented him and other players from performing at their peak.

“Now, as you can see, we are back on a classic Duelist/meta system without too much thinking based on individualities and momentum, these are also our strengths, and I like this way of playing which frees me personally individually to be able to express myself better in this style,” ScreaM remarked.

Additionally, ZE1SH has taken over as Karmine Corp’s IGL, allowing ScreaM to concentrate more on his gameplay. With nearly 50 kills each in the series against KOI, ScreaM and his brother Nabil ‘Nivera’ Benrlitom led the server. As the fight for the playoffs in VCT EMEA intensifies, Karmine Corp will try to maintain their progress in their upcoming match against FUT Esports on May 4.
