Karmine Corp’s Valorant Roster in Peril as Newzera Resigns and Coach Takes Over

According to an official statement by Karmine Corp, Alexis ‘Newzera’ Humbert has resigned from his position as a player on the Valorant roster, and Ahmed ‘ZE1SH’ El Sheikh, who is currently serving as an assistant coach for the squad, will take over for Humbert. The disastrous VCT EMEA effort that Karmine Corp. is currently engaged in has resulted in a significant change. It was reported on April 19 that one of the team’s players, Newzera, would be leaving the squad due to the team’s inability to secure a victory on its map of choice in any of the three most recent matches played.

As a result of the roster lock that went into effect following the mid-season transfer window’s conclusion, Karmine Corp cannot replace Newzera with another player. Instead, they must use their assistant coach ZE1SH in his place because the coach is counted as their sixth player. Also, according to the regulations set forth by Riot Games, each team’s roster must contain a minimum of six players at all times. Karmine Corp and many other VCT teams had to sign one of its coaches to their roster to meet this stipulation.

We as a team must pay attention to what our players have to say and provide the environment in which they may develop to their full potential. In a statement released by the company, Karmine Corp said, “We respect his decision, and we are doing our best to support the players and staff as they face this situation.”

The Valorant season for Karmine Corp. is in peril

In addition, Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom, the team’s captain and IGL, has released his statement regarding the situation. In it, he mentions that Newzera has deserted the team and that ZE1SH will be taking over the calling responsibilities for the squad.

“My brother and I are still living this moment when one of our teammates bails on the team in the middle of a competition (Liquid).” Today, we are facing a lot of challenges within the company, and to tell you the truth, I believe this is the first time in my career that I need all of your support and strength to get through this challenge,” ScreaM remarked on Twitter using a machine translation of what he had written in his original language.

On April 21, Karmine Corp will compete against NAVI in Week 4 of the VCT EMEA competition.
