FaZe Clan Squad Faces Setback With Absence of Rain for BLAST Premier Spring Groups

It has been announced that FaZe’s CS:GO squad won’t be able to count on the services of Hvard “rain” Nygaard for the BLAST Premier Spring Groups.

The North American organization announced on Twitter that rain would be absent from the competition in order to be present for the birth of his child. The tweet also stated that head coach Robert ‘RobbaN’ Dahlstrom would not be supporting the team during their first matches “due to a personal matter.”

According to FaZe, the Swedish coach will return “at the latest” by the end of the upcoming week or in advance of the International eSports Tournament in Katowice. It did not provide a return date in the event of rain, but the Norwegian player stated that he wants to be available for the Polish event which begins on January 31.

The loss of Rain is a significant setback for FaZe as they prepare for the first competition of the season. There will be 12 of the greatest teams on the globe competing in the BLAST Premier Spring Groups. There will be six slots available in the Spring Final, and over $180,000 will be at stake.

On Twitter, the captain of the team, who goes by the handle ‘karrigan,’ stated that it was difficult to begin the season without rain or RobbaN. But we remain hopeful that they will come to join us shortly.

Who Will Take The Place of The Rain?

FaZe registered Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer as a substitute player for the BLAST Premier Spring Groups. However, the 30-year-old player has not participated in a game since the end of 2021, which is when Robin “ropz” Kool took his spot on the team’s roster.

After the Danish rifler Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke wrote a mysterious message on Twitter that simply said, “See you soon,” speculation began to rise that he might play for FaZe at the event. Heroic has listed k0nfig as a replacement player for this competition on their roster.

According to FaZe, additional information and updates will be supplied before the team’s debut match, which will take place on Friday versus Complexity.
