The Dilemma of Gem Hoarding in Diablo 4: Players Wonder What to Do with their Abundant Stockpile

Players of Diablo 4 are scratching their heads about what they should do with the plethora of gems they have been stockpiling in the game’s stockpile. Gems have long been a mainstay in the Diablo series, providing players with another avenue for personalizing and enhancing their gear.

They are categorized according to color in Diablo 4, such as emeralds being green and sapphires being blue. In addition, when they go to Jewelers, players can socket and unsocket jewels for a small amount of in-game currency. The procedure is beneficial when increasing a character’s resistance to harm or adding stats that reduce damage. As you progress through the game, you’ll unlock enhanced or higher-tier gems, which expand the number of possible customizations even further. The issue is that gems continually drop from arbitrary adversaries and boxes of loot throughout the game. There are some players who, for some unknown reason, have the overwhelming urge to grab and keep all of them for themselves.

Players that hoard gems in Diablo 4 need help with what to do with their treasure

A member of the Diablo community on Reddit asked the Diablo subreddit community, “Could someone please explain wtf I’m supposed to do with all of these?” while uploading a screenshot of their gem-filled stash box. The snapshot reveals that the player has two whole rows in their stockpile, each containing well over one hundred gems of all types. It appears they have exhausted all available gear to socket them into.

As was to be expected, the user’s fellow Reddit contributors quickly pointed out that it is acceptable to leave gems behind. One user suggested, “Put them back on the floor where you found them,” and as of this writing, their response has more upvotes than the first post. Another person asked, “Why are people picking up gems and then asking for a gem bag?” It would help if you had a couple for each character because they have little value, and there is an absurd amount.

In Diablo 4, it is evident that stockpiling jewels is frowned upon, especially given the limited space available for inventory. On the other hand, some Reddit community members believe that it is better to keep gems for the possibility that future expansions would include additional levels or adjustments to Aspects. The way things are now set up, reserving stash space for treasures is a risk that users must accept or ignore.
