In its fifth season, Overwatch 2 has added some new content for Blizzard’s well-liked hero shooter. Season 5 arrived with a medieval RPG theme and brought a new battle pass, a mythological skin for Tracer, and cycle-long seasonal activities. To celebrate, these occasions would also feature new game modes, with the Summer Games’ return featuring the new Winston’s Beach Volleyball mode.
The game’s Questwatch mode was a more long-lasting addition made in Season 5. This has a D&D-style campaign that is guided by Tracer’s lover Emily and eventually reveals more plot as players gain battle pass levels. However, the players were satisfied with what they discovered. Another commenter explained how the casting would’ve been ideal by mentioning that Cassidy’s VA Matthew Mercer is well-known for playing the role of the dungeon master in the DnD television series Critical Role. “Having a fully voiced campaign with him as the DM would have been an easy win,” the comment said. “Considering that Matt Mercer, Cassidy’s VA, is the DM for arguably the most popular D&D play series ever.” Questwatch may not have been a player favorite early on, but Season 5 is still in progress. Mischief and Magic and the Summer Games event are still available for Blizzard to make amends.
