Niantic Earns Player Appreciation for Extending Time Limit in Pokemon Go’s Battle Day: Stardust Timed Research Event

Players of Pokemon Go have voiced their appreciation for Niantic following the recent Battle Day: Stardust Timed Research event, which saw the developer give an extended time limit for ticket holders. Trainers that participated in Pokemon Go were allowed to purchase a ticket for the Go Battle Day: Stardust Timed Research event on May 14, 2023.

Unfortunately for several gamers worldwide, the Mother’s Day holiday coincided with this particular Timed Research event. As a result, many people believed that the time commitment required by the Timed Research made it extremely difficult to complete the task. Now, Niantic has provided a time extension for those who purchased tickets, and after the event, many users praised the company for their consideration.

Pokemon Go players are happy with Niantic’s decision to extend Battle Day

The statement was delivered on May 17, 2023, via the Niantic Support Twitter account, which stated, “Trainers, thank you for participating in last weekend’s Go Battle Day.” All Trainers who purchased a Go Battle Day event ticket can now access an additional fee for Timed Research.

In the tweet, Niantic said it will “continue to improve the [players’] experience with Pokémon Go, including future GO Battle tickets.” Because of the time extension, those who have purchased tickets will have 14 days to complete the tasks and increase their chances of winning 20,000 Stardust, 3 Rare Candies, and 1 Star Piece. Even though Niantic has received little positive feedback from users as of late, many players have expressed their gratitude on social media.

Please maintain this mode of communication! One player commented, “We appreciate this,” while another fan complimented the developer for “acknowledging the community” and referred to tweets like this as “progress.” Both players and fans expressed their gratitude to the developer.

Even though not all of the responses to the tweet were good, several gamers elected to send a quick tweet expressing “thank you” for the lovely gesture, which is especially meaningful considering the ticket cost some players real money. We can only hope that Niantic will make occurrences such as this one a more common occurrence in the future.
