Warzone 2 Player Makes Record-Breaking 1,300-Meter Sniper Shot Across Map

One Warzone 2 player downed another player across the map with a sniper headshot from more than 1,300 meters away. The most extensive map in Warzone history, Al Mazrah from Warzone 2, has a ton of POIs dispersed throughout to make every match unique and intriguing.

Using a Sniper Rifle is an excellent technique to get the upper hand on squads because of the map’s enormous size and open spaces, provided that players are camped out in the appropriate places. This was taken to the nth degree in Warzone 2, where one player managed to headshot a rival player from more than 1,300 meters distant, literally across the map.

The incredible 1,300-meter sniper shot in Warzone 2

The video was taken from the CODWarzone subreddit, where a user by the name of Virtual_Projectile shared evidence of their incredible achievement with the community. The post with the headline “World Record(?) 1,307.49M Headshot” showed the OP at the Zaya Observatory POI using the MCPR-300 sniper rifle to shoot at another player.

Despite the fact that the video starts in the middle of an engagement, the Call of Duty player on the other team, hilariously named BulletMagnet27, was hit on the second shot. While Virtual_Projectile was unable to complete the kill with another miraculous snipe, the headshot brought them down, and the enemy eventually bled out and was taken out. The shot impressed viewers on the subreddit, and several made jokes about the incredible distance the player was able to hit. “Sorry, but no. I once reached 1,307.52M. Retry,” a user jokingly advised.

As some players inquired how they could line up the shot in the first place, Virtual_Projectile went into detail about how the image was made. They justified it by stating that “beyond a certain distance, it seems like the bullet impact point decouples from the dot on the reticle,” taking into consideration the extreme sniping angle they had to use. They hypothesized that the Raptor FVM40 scope is intended to function outside the 800-meter player render distance or that there is always a minor degree of error one must consider while sniping from such a great distance. There’s no denying that this Warzone 2 player made one of the most outstanding shots in history.
