Warzone 2 Backlash: NICKMERCS Claps Back at Critics Over COD Operator Skins for TimTheTatman and Himself

NICKMERCS retaliated against Warzone 2 players who criticized TimTheTatman and him for acquiring COD operator skins. In Warzone 2, TimTheTatman and NICKMERCS were the first content producers to get their operator skins. The NICKMERCS bundle costs 2,400 COD Points and comes with two operator skins, weapon blueprints, and charms.

Even though Warzone 2 has ardent fans, not everyone in the community supports Tim and Nick getting their operator skin. Players reacted negatively to Activision’s unveiling of the operator skins on Twitter. Comments like “we don’t care” and “they don’t even play COD” cast a bad light on the crossover. NICKMERCS clarified how the choice represents a “first step in a positive direction” for the neighborhood.

According to NICMERCS, hiring operators is a “net positive” for content creators

NICKMERCS replied to criticism after receiving an operator skin during a live stream. “Everyone would have been so excited if this had been released two years ago, but given the facts and the state of the market, many people are distraught with Call of Duty right now.” NICKMERCS feels that the community has unfairly directed ire at him and Tim instead of COD.

“We are receiving a lot of s**t since they are so angry with COD. Many folks are unhappy that we will soon have skins.

According to NICKMERCS, Activision did not utilize this as a ruse to “save the game” or “put more money in their pockets.” The Leader of the MFAM Army acknowledged that encouraging designers like Tim and himself to play with their operators is a positive thing, but it won’t alter the nature of the game. “Many of these smaller content producers and individuals got it wrong. This is excellent news for artists and indicates that Call of Duty will start doing more of this.

NICKMERCS retaliated against people who did not grasp the significance of this chance for content creators. We’re the first, and while it’s fantastic for Tim and me, it’s also excellent for the neighborhood. If people can’t see this as the first step in a good direction, they are just hating. The NICMERCS operator skin should give other COD streamers a head start in getting recognized in-game.
