Unleashing the Underdog: BAS-P Submachine Gun in Warzone 2 Poised to Disrupt the Meta

There is a slept-on submachine gun in Warzone 2 that has the potential to crack the meta soon and become a preferred weapon for many gamers. In recent weeks, the metagame in Warzone 2 has undergone a shake-up, and as a result, players have been basing their classes around the Vaznev-9K, Cronen Squall, FJX Imperium, and MCPR-3000.

In the battle royale, these four guns cover the essential short-range and long-range classes, but these are not the only guns players have been utilizing. Players have also been using other types of weaponry.  In response to the fact that the metagame has started to feel dull, gamers have begun experimenting with various weapons that fly under the radar in an effort to shake things up. And when it comes to the submachine gun class, a gun that people have overlooked for a while is simply waiting to emerge as the next great thing.

The most effective BAS-P MSG loadout available in Warzone 2 

The SMG in question is the BAS-P, as noted by the Warzone YouTuber Metaphor in his video posted on May 7. He also mentioned that the developers had improved the weapon on multiple occasions. Like, they want to push this gun into the meta,” he remarked, noting that it can outgun more popular weapons like the MP7 at close range. “They want to push this gun into the meta.”

Metaphor’s build slightly differs from what other players have been utilizing for the BAS-P because he does not choose to use a sight or the 50-round drum. If you’ve ever used the BAS-P, you’ll recognize this difference.

The YouTuber’s sole complaint about the BAS-P is the magazine; he wishes there was also an option for a 40-round magazine in addition to the 20, 30, and 50-round magazines now available.  According to the statistics provided by WZRanked, it is the fifth most-used submachine gun in the game, although it is just the 21st most-used weaponry overall. It remains to be seen if that can soar without any more enhancements, but it has the potential to become the new go-to.
