The Overwatch League has decided publicly that the 2023 Fall Playoffs and Grand Finals will take place in Toronto. When the best teams from the East face off against the best teams from the West in the OWL postseason in 2023, the championship will be held in Toronto, which is located in Canada.
A competition that will begin on September 28 and continue until October 1 will occur at the Mattamy Athletic Centre, which the final eight teams will visit. On the other hand, the league will try something new with its system this time by selecting teams into two groups of four in preparation for a tournament featuring double elimination.
The Overwatch League is coming back to Toronto with a revamped tournament structure
The teams will comprise the top five players in the western division and the top three in the Eastern division. The top two teams from each group will go on to the knockout phases of the competition. From there, the remaining teams will compete in a single-elimination bracket on Grand Finals day to crown a champion, who will take home $1 million.
The Summer Showdown occurred in Toronto in 2022, so this won’t be the first time the city has hosted a significant Overwatch League tournament. Tickets for the VIP section will go on sale on July 21, while tickets for general admission will become available on July 28.
