The Return of Ninja and Classic Mini-Map: Modern Warfare 3 Leaks Suggest Exciting Features
New Call of Duty 2023 reports suggest that Modern Warfare 3 will put Ninja back into rotation via a new “Gear” system and bring CoD’s classic mini-map, one with red dots, back. As the yearly Call of Duty cycle continues and we get closer to the release in 2023, which is Modern Warfare 3, more information continues to fall through the cracks almost daily.
The community has recently been kept on its toes by a variety of leaks, from files taken from Warzone code hinting at an upcoming in-game reveal event to leaks of legendary maps that are allegedly returning. The newest information has indicated that several features are expected to come back in Modern Warfare 3, coupled with a revised perk system that uses equippable Gear.
Will Modern Warfare 3 include the classic CoD mini-map?
The mini-map in Call of Duty has recently been a significant cause of annoyance. Since the series changes developers every year, each studio has a different approach it likes to take with the recurring feature. In older versions, players would show up as a red dot on the mini-map if they fired an un-silenced weapon. Everyone else in the lobby knew where you were because of the shots. However, it isn’t the case in certain games, such as the most current Modern Warfare 2. Any un-silenced weapon you use will still keep you under the radar.
With this year’s release approaching, we could be in store for a return to the traditional strategy. Red dots will reportedly reappear on the mini-map, according to leaks from CoD insider ‘BobNetworkUK.’ Although it’s still early and no official information has appeared, treating this preliminary information with caution is essential. Don’t count on CoD’s mini-map returning to normal soon; plans may permanently alter throughout development.
Modern Warfare 3 may include a new Gear system, according to leaks
The insider also hinted at a new Gear system coming for Modern Warfare 3 simultaneously as further leaks. One that ostensibly updates or completely replaces the conventional Perks system.
Going ahead, this Gear system will bind Perks to specific pieces of equipment. The three kinds of armor—vest, boots, and gloves—were all identified in the leak, and each has several Perks associated with it. For now, it is unknown exactly how it would work in Modern Warfare 3, but if reports are accurate, Ninja will come back after spending a year on the shelf due to its absence from Modern Warfare 2.
