They said, “This has gone way too far now, and I’m very hurt.” “Encouraging me to commit suicide, saying I don’t have a real job, mocking my life and the people who support me all because I bought a ticket to an in-person Go Fest,” said one user. “It’s not fair.” These direct messages and comments are hurtful, and I require some time away from them.
The tweet that Fleece posted featured screenshots of messages he had received, some of which encouraged him to commit suicide, made fun of him for playing Pokemon Go, and insulted him. FleeceKing asserts in his tweet that the hatred he received was a direct result of his decision to purchase a ticket to attend the in-person Pokemon Go Fest 2023 event. Wednesday was the first day that access could be purchased in person at any of three different sites, and one of those places is already out of stock.
