Pokémon Go Players Encounter Confusion and Contradictions with Remote Showcases Feature

The new Showcase function for Pokemon Go is now fully available to all players, and fans are under the impression that the developers work remotely. Gamers worldwide can finally access the highly anticipated new Showcase feature for Pokemon Go after several months of closed beta testing.

For the benefit of those who might not be aware, Pokemon Showcases allow trainers to enter their Pokemon into competitions against those of other players. These competitions could be based on determining which Pokemon is the largest or smallest or any of various categories. Upon the game’s release, specific players believed the newly added function enabled players to engage in unrestricted remote gameplay. However, the community as a whole does not share this viewpoint.

Trainers of Pokemon Go need clarification on the remote Showcases

Just a few hours after the feature became available to all players in the game, trainers started discussing the new Pokemon contests on social media. Players typically need to be in close proximity to a PokeStop to participate and submit their Pokemon since Showcases are only accessible at select PokeStops. However, some fans discovered ways to remotely raise their Pokemon to the Showcases in adjacent locations.

Unfortunately, quite a few accounts in the comments contradicted one another, with some people reporting that it was impossible to submit Pokemon remotely. In contrast, others stated that it worked for them. One trainer said, “You can enter remotely and change the Pokémon while you are away.” I’ve used both with the PokeStop close to me and that I can see, but I haven’t tried spinning from home at all. However, another fan had posted screenshots demonstrating they were not offered the opportunity to remotely submit a Pokemon when they were in a circumstance remarkably similar to the one described in the original post.

Trainers of Pokemon Go have discovered further Showcase problems, such as the complete disappearance of remotely submitted Pokemon, the inability of some trainers to see Showcase PokeStops, and plenty more. It would appear that there are still some kinks to work out after the game has been released. However, the specifics of the problem involving the remote Showcase could be more precise. It would not be shocking if Niantic provided a fix shortly to smooth out some of the kinks associated with the Showcase.
