A person playing Pokemon Go in Wisconsin happened upon a real-life PokeStop; judging by the sign’s appearance, it has been planted in the ground for a considerable time. PokeStops are locations in Pokemon Go that serve as sites of interest and allow players to obtain various things, such as Poke Balls. The stops are often located at well-known landmarks and monuments, and each of these locations is denoted on the map by a distinguishing blue icon.
PokeStops, like practically everything connected to Pokemon, have been made into merchandise that can be purchased. Examples of this merchandise include t-shirts, stickers, and keychains. They had also made their way into the real world through various channels, as evidenced by someone recently finding an actual PokeStop when they were out and about.

A Reddit user who posts under Constant_Ad_2776 recently shared photographs of a genuine PokeStop with the community. In a following post on Reddit, the user revealed that the PokeStop could be found in the quaint community of River Falls, located in Wisconsin.
Players of Pokemon Go who have traveled across the state in the middle of the country have reported seeing the same signpost. Based on the rust and corrosion that can be seen in the photograph of the stop, it appears that it has been there for quite some time. Although numerous users on Reddit have inquired about it, they have yet to be able to verify whether or not the actual River Falls PokeStop is capable of rotating.
It should come as no surprise that fans of Pokemon Go enjoy the concept of a PokeStop being an actual landmark. In response to the previous post, one user jokingly suggested that the individual in question “dress up as a Team Rocket grunt and go stand there menacingly.” Another individual offered some words of wisdom to the effect that there might be a “dark and shady character” loitering in the vicinity of the PokeStop.
Players of Pokemon Go are well aware that there are also several ways to formally connect with the augmented reality video game when they are out and about in the real world. The Pokemon Go Fest is just one illustration of this, and the date for the global event in 2023 has already been tentatively set for this August.
