Overwatch 2 Players Express Discontent as Hero Mode and Talent Trees Are Removed from PvE

Players of Overwatch 2 are expressing their dissatisfaction with the news that the game’s creators will be removing the Hero Mode and Talent Trees from the PvE mode. Since the sequel’s launch, the Overwatch 2 community members have eagerly anticipated introducing the PvE mode. The PvE was announced at BlizzCon2019, which began the excitement around its eventual debut. The story campaign was one of the most highly anticipated aspects of PvE. But now, players need to get what they were promised when they first started playing.

Overwatch 2 Executive Producer Jared Neuss told players of a surprising tweak to the player versus environment mode on May 16 during a live stream. In addition, Game Director Aaron Keller discussed the alterations that would be made to the ambitious structure of PvE.

The Overwatch 2 fanbase is unhappy with the changes to the PvE mode

A guy on Reddit started the conversation on how much of a bummer it was after PvE Hero Mode and Talent Trees were removed from the video game. Players from the Overwatch 2 community have voiced their opinions on the controversial move in the section reserved for comments. According to one user’s post, “Highkey a disaster for OW2 and a horrible look for Blizzard/the Overwatch team, especially dropping that announcement after 30 minutes of Starwatch,”

A disenchanted player once stated, “Honestly, a proper story-driven PVE mode was the only thing keeping me invested in the game.” “I imagine I’ll play a match here or there once in a blue moon, but the talent tree system was something I was looking forward to engaging with,” he said. “It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a while.”

In addition, many of the Overwatch community vented their frustrations at the removal of Hero Missions and Talent Trees on Twitter. People almost unanimously agreed that the aspects above were the most thrilling part of the PvE experience. Players have trouble determining its function now that the future mode has been released.

Alongside the release of Season 6, Overwatch 2’s PvE mode will also debut without Hero Missions. During the conversation, the upcoming season of Overwatch was referred to as the “biggest” in the game’s history. In addition to player vs. environment gameplay, the Overwatch development team highlighted plans for Hero Mastery objectives and a redesign of Roadhog.
