Neeko’s Disguise Exposed: League of Legends Players Discover Instant Identification Method
Players of League of Legends have discovered that they can quickly and easily determine whether or not is a Neeko in the area by simply pressing a button. This allows them to do so in an instant.
Ever since her introduction to League of Legends, Neeko has maintained her status as one of the most peculiar champions in the game. Her arsenal is intended to trick the player psychologically rather than to outmaneuver them mechanically, and her one-of-a-kind disguise ability has been the source of several funny glitches in the video game. The players have devised a new strategy to defeat her disguise, which was improved so that she can now turn into minions, monsters, and virtually anything else with a life bar.
Players in League of Legends use direct scoreboard manipulation to foil Neeko’s disguise
Players of League of Legends have realized that even if Neeko is playing the game behind a masquerade, she will still be counted as present on the scoreboard. If there isn’t a question mark over her symbol and she’s not visible on the map, she must be hidden somewhere (presumably as a lane minion). This means that she isn’t visible on the map if there isn’t a question mark over her icon. The fact that the scoreboard can be accessed with a single button (Tab) makes it much simpler to identify a Neeko that has been camouflaged.
There is some disagreement as to whether this feature that Riot wanted to include in the game and determined should be welcomed or whether this bug was left in after Neeko’s update. It wouldn’t be shocking if this were an overlooked element that would be patched out soon, considering some other problems Neeko has introduced to the rift, such as the ability to morph into turrets. It would be strange if it weren’t. But for now, we are keeping our fingers crossed that it will be in the game for a sufficient amount of time to prevent teammates from overstepping when there are too many minions in the lane.
