In the last moments of the most recent Solstice Horizons event in Pokemon Go, a single Trainer successfully captured the legendary Solrock. In honor of the Summer Solstice, Niantic organized a special event called Solstice Horizons for their viral mobile game. Players had from the 16th until the 25th of June to participate in the Pokemon Go event, giving them plenty of opportunity to complete the Daytime Collection and Nighttime Collection challenges.
Players were charged with capturing Pokémon, including Cottonee, Murkrow, Ledyba, and Solrock, as part of the Daytime Collection. These Pokémon were all known to be seen in the wild during the daylight hours. When tracking down these creatures, some persons had more success than others, while others were less fortunate. However, at the very last second, one Reddit user successfully landed an extremely unusual catch.

In the forum, several users mentioned that they, too, had high hopes of getting a Solrock during the recent Solstice Horizons event that Pokemon Go hosted. One player stated that they did not have such good luck but received two Lunatones, the equivalent of Solrock. Additionally, one of those Lunatones appeared to have a lustrous finish.
Some players believe that Solrock and Lunatone are among the most desirable Pokemon in Pokemon Go because their locations change depending on the type of event being held. It would appear that gamer who successfully acquired them during the Solstice Horizons festivities were overjoyed to add new Pokémon to their Pokedex collections.
