Junker Queen Statue Missing in Overwatch 2: Players Demand Answers from Blizzard

Overwatch 2 is enquiring what had become of the Junker Queen monument given to them when the hero racked up the most takedowns during the Battle of Olympus event. Seasonal releases like battle passes and new heroes are the norm for Overwatch 2’s content offerings to players. But now and then, Blizzard organizes events for the hero shooter, frequently announcing a fresh, themed game mode to go along with it.

The Battle for Olympus was one such event we received in the early days of Overwatch 2. This significant event occurred in Season 2, consistent with the Greek Mythology theme of the season. During this event, players were first exposed to a limited-time death match featuring heroes with enhanced skills. But the promise of a special prize was one of the main aspects of this particular mode. The player who completed the most takedowns during the event would subsequently be given a statue of themselves to be displayed on the map of Ilios: Ruins.

The Australian tank Junker Queen won the most victories overall in the game mode and was rewarded with a statue of herself that would remain on the map indefinitely. At the very least, it is what Blizzard initially stated. Unfortunately, it hasn’t happened two seasons later, as Overwatch 2 players have been left inquiring when the statue in the hero’s likeness will be made.

Overwatch players are perplexed by the Junker Queen statue’s presence

Players have posted inquiries regarding the statue on the Overwatch site, requesting information on its delivery to the video game’s live servers. Sadly, no one has responded to their questions, and Overwatch 2 content creator bogus is also thinking about the vanished statue. Many others asked the same thing as bogus, and many comments criticized Blizzard for not fulfilling their promise to the community. One commenter wrote, “I guess modeling a single statue is too much work for a team of 100 or so people to finish promptly.”

Others made light of the content’s slow release, comparing it to Overwatch 2’s PvE modes’ delay. “It’s right on schedule, just like the PVE,” one person remarked. These concerns arise in light of the impending event’s return and the short-lived death match mode’s planned return in Season 4. Blizzard has not yet disclosed whether players will see the monument when the game modes return, nor have they given the community any updates regarding the statue’s development.
